| Realm was awarded one wholly owned shale concession, “Gniew”, in Poland in June 2010. The Gniew concession covers a gross area of 294,000 acres (1191km²) and lies in northern Poland, in the Baltic Depression, 70 km south of Gdansk. Realm Energy has committed to an exploration program that, at a minimum, requires reprocessing existing seismic data and conducting a new 100km, 2D seismic program. Surrounding licensees include, Lane Energy/Conoco, BNK Petroleum and Marathon Oil.
Realm was also awarded two shale concessions in Poland in June 2010, in conjunction with Denver, Colorado based Source Energy Partners (SEP). Both concessions are located in the Eastern European Craton.

The first concession, “llawa”, located in the Baltic Depression of northern Poland, comprises 161,109 gross acres (652 km2). The second concession, “Wegrow”, located in the Podlasie Basin of southeast Poland, comprises 180,136 gross acres (729 km2). Exploration will target natural gas in Silurian, Ordovician and Cambrian Shales. Realm Energy and SEP each have a 50% interest in Ilawa and Wegrow.
In the Baltic Depression, Ilawa lies 134km south east of the city of Gdansk. In connection with receiving Ilawa, Realm Energy and SEP have committed to an exploration program that, at a minimum, requires reprocessing existing seismic data and conducting a new 50 km, 2D seismic program. The primary target, are the Silurian shales. Lands contiguous to llawa are expected to undergo significant shale gas exploration activity in the near term. Some of the industry players holding adjoining lands include San Leon Energy Plc/Talisman Energy Inc. and Marathon Oil Corporation.
The Wegrow concession, located in the Podlasie Sedimentary Basin, lies approximately 70 km northeast of Warsaw. In connection with receiving Wegrow, Realm Energy and SEP have committed to an exploration program that, at a minimum, requires conducting 50 km of new 2D seismic and a well commitment to a depth of 2,750 meters within 3.5 years. The Silurian shales may lie at optimal depths for maturity and gas recovery with TOC (Total Organic Carbon) measured by the Polish Geological Institute ranging from 1% to 17%. Immediate surrounding lands have recently been licensed for hydrocarbon exploration by Exxon Mobil Corp., EurEnergy Resources Corporation and Cuadrilla Resources Holding Ltd.
